Mitel 5604 Wireless Handset
As one of the first of a new generation of handsets, the 5604 Wireless Phone provides flexible and cost efficient abilities. It was designed for users who have advanced communications demands, and who need safety features that can ensure a minor occurrence doesn’t become a major event. Along with its messaging, Push-to-Talk abilities and customizable options, the 5604 Wireless Phone is ideal for health care environments where solvent and moisture resistance is a requirement, in addition to light industry environments. As well, the 5604 Wireless Phone comes with a default list of MCD features preprogrammed.
Messaging
In conjunction with the Wireless Services Messaging Gateway (WSM), the 5604 Wireless Phone supports bi-directional text messaging.
Push-to-Talk / Group Call
In conjunction with the Wireless Services Messaging Gateway (WSM) and the conferencing server, the user can initiate or be drawn into a push-to-talk session with a group of mobile staff.
Personal Alarm License (Optional)
Upgrade your 5604 Wireless Phone with the alarm function, and then, no matter where you are, with the push of a key, an alert is instantaneously sent to your colleagues. Furthermore, in conjunction with the Services or Location license, the phone emitting the alarm can be located. In conjunction with the Mitel Wireless Services Messaging gateway, the 5604 Wireless Phone supports bi-directional text messaging.
Services License (Optional)
The optional Services license enables the 5604 Wireless Phone user to interact with applications in a very sophisticated manner. An application can take control of the phone’s display, including the softkeys, such that specific options and actions are presented in conjunction with other information, making the user effectively interactive with the application. For example, an alert can be sent to the handset from a production process with options to shut the equipment down, reduce the temperature, etc.
This license, in conjunction with a specialized application module, also enables a “call setup” function, whereby an application can trigger a handset to go off-hook into Push-to-Talk speaker mode, or alternately, present a softkey that has an embedded phone number. This is an important feature for communication escalation scenarios.
Location License (Optional)
This license, in conjunction with the deployment of specialized DECT Beacons, enables the more precise location of a user when an alarm is activated. This is critical in high risk environments, such as security institutions.
MCD Management Integration
The 5604 Wireless Phone is configured as a specific device type on the MCD, making adds, moves and changes simple to manage from the Mitel Enterprise® Manager.
Simplified Device Management
The Mitel IP-DECT System (Global) software release 4.0 introduces support for simplified device management, compatible with the 5604 Wireless Phone. Programming can be achieved over-the-air via the Mitel Wireless Services Messaging Gateway, or via a PC in conjunction with either the 5603 / 5604 Wireless Phone Programmer or 5603 / 5604 Wireless Phone Rack Charger. This includes both programming and software upgrading. Designed for the enhanced office and demanding health care or security environments, the features in addition to the 5603 include:
